Hi!

I am Pierre-Philippe Toufektchan, I’m 28. I’m from the city of Lyon, France. I’m French but my parents are Russian & Armenian, they came to live in France in the late 1980s with my two sisters.

After growing up in the suburbs of Lyon, I chose to go into the art world by studying at the Lycée du Premier Film in Lyon (France). There, I obtained a CAP and a BAC PRO in graphic design. Then, I went to Poitiers to study in an art school called EESI (Ecole Européenne Supérieure de l'Image). The many experience I achieved in this school got me to gradually move towards the practice of filmmaking and photography.

In 2017, I gratuated after five years of studies, obtained my DNSEP (Diplôme Superieur d'Expression Plastique) and began a career as a photographer and author/director.

Since then, I moved back to Lyon. However, I travel a lot troughout France to work on various project such as documentary, short films, and photography portraits/landscapes.

I love writing stories, watching movies, meeting people, taking portraits and working with a team.
